Mr. Hood has been a franchise and retail growth strategist since 1988, specializing in development, international expansion, and strategic planning. As Vice President and later President of Auntie Anne’s, he helped grow the brand from startup to over 740 global locations and $250 million in systemwide sales.

He has consulted with leading companies including Armstrong World Industries, Allstate, Nestlé, Subway, El Pollo Loco, Häagen-Dazs, and the U.S. Navy, and has served on multiple franchise boards. A frequent industry speaker and published contributor, Mr. Hood holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Geography, an M.A. in Economic Geography, and a B.S. in Economics.
